Wow. That is a really short trailer. I mean, really short. It's less than a minute long...
Yeah, I guess that's why they call it a teaser, huh?
Looks awesome, btw.

www.apple.com/trailers/fox/fantasticfourriseofthesilversurfer/large.htmlTeaser for the new Fantastic 4 movie. I know what some people's opinion for the first one was (cough Justin cough), but I went to see the pretty Welsh boy and nothing more, so I was pleasantly surprised. I am much less pleased with what I see of this sequel. Will I still see it? Yes. Opening weekend? Most likely. Do I still think Ioan Griffudd's grey streaks are just dreamy? You betcha. OK, I do have to say this - Silver Surfer? Are they kidding? Could you possibly think up a stupider name?

You have to keep in mind that the character of Silver Surfer was created in the mid-sixties when names where very simple and right to the point of what the character was. Just take a look at any classic superhero/villian name: Cyclops, Superman, Spider-Man, Captin America, Green Goblin, Invisible Woman, etc, etc.

And the alliteration is and always will be very important in a superhero name.

Stylistically it seems very close to the graphic novel. I just have a problem with all the "Freedom!" shouting. Sparta was almost a fascist state (though Spartan women had comparatively more freedom than the democracy-practicing Athenians). "Freedom" was not the driving force of this story, unless you consider that the Greek city-states didn't want to become vassals of the Persian Empire.

They are not billing this film as historical fact and I would be willing to wager that the majority of people that will see this film will have no idea that this battle actually took place.

...I liked The Core! In a guilty pleasure sort of way.
This looks neat!

I liked The Core, too, objectively. I just didn't like how SPOILER just about everyone died in the end SPOILER OVER. It's the trailer for Grindhouse! This looks really good - I think I handle Tarantino best in small doses. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yt6Lv9tOvI&eurl=
