One thing that bothers me is the double dipping of dvds. It's only justified when the disc has enough new stuff to warrant a new purchase or if it's the director's final cut. It also bothers me in movies when things are overexplained or the obvious is stated. For example, in slasher films when they say "He's coming after us." We know that, just run! Also, in new horror movies how origins or plot points tend to be spoonfed to the audience, especially in The Grudge and any recent horror remake excluding Dawn of the Dead. You know what really bothers me? When they have like eighty different "special" versions that come out in the span of just a couple of years. The anime Neon Genesis Evangelion (the show) might be the worst offender of this ever. But Alexander is making a bid for the dubious honor.
And as for spoon-feeding, it's not just horror movies. I absolutely HATE when they do that in mysteries or suspense. Enigma (the one with Kate Winslett) just beats you over the head with clues. That one is a remake as well, so maybe it's a remakes thing. Hmm... On a related note, when the audience is reminded of a clue or previous occurrence two seconds after it happened. I am capable of retaining thought and memory for that long, thank you. Or they replay the whole scene over again. And over. And OVER. I'm looking at you Crow: City of Angels!

Rereading the thread reminded me of something about the Star Wars movies that bugs me:
In Return of the Jedi, Luke asks Leia if she remembers her real mother. She says yes. That she was very sad, etc. At the end of Revenge of the Sith Padme dies right after giving birth. That is one exceptional memory for a new born...
