Basil Poledouris, composer of the scores to such films as Conan the Barbarian and Starship Troopers, died of cancer on November 8th. I believe he also scored Conan the Destroyer as well, which Justin recently reviewed. An article remembering his life and scores can be found here: www.mania.com/52811.html.
Perhaps this belonged in the Music section, but certainly a sad time for all fans of film scores. Personally, I've been listening to the Conan (the Barbarian) soundtrack all week in tribute. Here's to you, Basil!
