I like the idea... but the "6 minute Clone Wars" length isn't a big pull for me. That means a focus on action instead of story, and if you're going to develop an all new Trek timeline, you should really take the time to tell a story, not just blow stuff up.

They already made a super sweet star trek cartoon based on the original series with all the original voices...I'd rather just watch that.

There is also a new movie scheduled for 2008 with possibly Matt Damon starting as a young James T. Kirk. No, I'm not kidding.
