Words cannot express how excited I am for this film. My want to see this film is so much that, I am actually now obsessed with the actual number 23. The Number 23

That's actually the stuff that turned me off of this film. I was all psyched to see it, then the marketing machine kicked into overdrive about three weeks ago and I started getting the endless comericals on tv, which I expected, but also radio ads and emails all about the mysteries of the number 23 and how cryptic and phophetic it is . I feel so oversaturated that I've become totally ambivalent and have no longer have any intention of checking it out. Thanks New Line!

I am pretty excitexd for this. It looks pretty good, but mostly I want to see Jim Carrey in a scary, non-comedic role.

the number 23: 2 divided by 3 equals .666 the mark of the beast No. No it doesn't. This was many of the factors that turned me off the film. 2/3 = 0.666666666666666.... That's not a sinister number. If you want to round it to 3 digits, it's 0.667. The neighbour of the beast, perhaps, but not the number of the beast.

I've only seen TV ads for this - and it looks terrible! Like it very well may be the worst movie of the year. I don't see how many movies could be as bad-looking as this one.

To me, the commercials remind me of The Butterfly Effect. 'Nuff said.
But I'll probably end up renting it anyway.

Actually, I didn't pay enough attention to think what movie I thought this was ripping off. Just the fact that it seemed to completely lack any real suspense or interesting plot / story. It looks like a perfect donkey just to appease the people who would prefer to see "noble" thrillers as opposed to something a little more horrific yet smarter and rewarding.
I don't know, but that sounds pretty close to the method behind the madness that is viewing those TV spots.

If you want to round it to 3 digits, it's 0.667. The neighbour of the beast, perhaps, but not the number of the beast. "Hi The Beast! Can I borrow a cup of sugar?"

You know... maybe I'm trusting the advertising too much - is this movie funny? At all?
