Watched this tonight. Alone. In Napa, CA. I really appreciated the way it was filmed. It didn't feel like it set out to scare me. It reminded me of All the Presidents Men in the way it was told--only with that special Fincher touch.
Despite the length, the film didn't make me want to get out of my seat and run around the theater a couple of times like The Good Shepard did. I was really afraid it was going to be super horror, shocking, disturbing movie like Se7en was...but it just told the story with respect to all the victims and people involved. I went to high school with Bryan Hartnell's son, so it was nice to see him portrayed in such a decent manor. As I understand it, he was consulted quite a bit for the film. I spotted his son John in a scene--first time I'd seen him since high school. Anyways, I don't normally go for movies about serial killers but this movie hit pretty close to home so I thought I'd give it a go. What did you all think?

I haven't seen it yet, because I'm too busy seeing 300 three times. ( ) But yeah, I can't to see it! If it's as good as you say it is I'm sure it'll be worth it!
