.....a Fahrenheit 451 remake based on the book by Ray Bradbury? I read the book a couple of months ago and thought that it would make a good movie. I jumped with joy when I discovered there was a 1966 version but was kind of disappointed that they changed quite a bit of details from the book. So do you guys think the remake will be any good? By the way one of the crew members rhymes with bel bibson.

To elaborate further:
I won't see it because Hollywood co-opting a book that demonizes censorship and the dumbing down of the masses, is like...well, just read that sentence again.
It's like when something co-opts something else that demonizes what the first something does almost exclusively, is what I'm saying.
EDIT: Also, I don't like Mel Gibson.

I'm not saying I like the guy I'm just saying that this movie experience might be a bit weird. Seriously he's crazy.

I didn't even know that there was a remake coming out. I hated the book. Bradbury's prose is, on the whole, to flowery for me (although Something Wicked This Way Comes, and some of his short stories are pretty cool).
Plus I hate anything that tries to beat me to death with a message, even if it is one that I agree with.
So, to answer your question, no.
