Just wanted to say, I got the OotP soundtrack, and it's absolutely incredible. A great, lively and energetic score. Can you dig it?

Least favorite book. By miles, my favorite movie. This is a bit tough since I missed a lot of the other character stuff (which I could list forever), and I wish it had been just a little teeny bit longer. But at the same time it is such a big book, and unlike some other Potter movies, there's no out of left field stuff added, or flying sequences that never end, and the cuts all make sense. So it's a compromise, and one that I'm comfortable with.
I didn't like the mirror or Petunia's howler being left out, or the specification of the spell that hit Sirius, and I didn't like how they gave Cho an out by having Umbridge veritaserum her, thereby not putting the nail in the coffin on her and Harry's relationship... Look, there I go listing things. I'll stop.
One change that I am behind 100% is making Harry less of a whiny bastard. Huzzah!
Luna was fantastic, they got her right. I could strangle Umbridge with my bare hands - so she was perfect. Great casting.
I think it was the most even feeling of all the movies so far and the younger actors are definitely getting better with each movie (which is to be expected, but still worth noting). I hope David Yates is signed up for the next one.
Counting down to the last book....

Actually, I hope Michael Goldberg is signed up for the next one. I think the movie REALLY benefited from the lack of Steve Kloves. Especially Ron. More of what I think in my review, but I LOVED it. Didn't even mind the cuts and changes.

I second Lissa's hope for the return of Michael Goldberg

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but didn't Kloves pass on OotP so he could jump right into adapting The Half-Blood Prince?

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but didn't Kloves pass on OotP so he could jump right into adapting The Half-Blood Prince? 'Tis true. He's listed as the sole screenplay credit on HBP on IMDB and every preview site.
