"Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles... "
A truly worthy successor to the legacy of the Princess Bride. It's one of the few works of Gaiman's that I haven't read (yet!), but it has the same spirit of adventure and worldbuilding as MirrorMask, which bodes well for future adaptations.
It's good. It's so good. I want to see it ten more times.

Ruled. One of the few works I can think of that was a comic, then a book, then a movie... now I have to go check out the comic and book to see if they're as great as the film.
The wife and I both LOVED the behavior of the goat man. And the guy who was turned into a girl and couldn't stop staring at his... well, because that's exactly what would really happen.

Oh, thank goodness. I've been a fan of the book, but I've been afraid the movie was no good. Yay, I can see it!

I caught Stardust on the weekend. Peter O'Toole made the movie awesome with his scene. It was surprisingly easy to follow considering how many different story-lines were going on at once.

If you're not laughing hysterically at Robert De Niro prancing (yes actually prancing) in front of a mirror in frilly petticoats with full make up, then I'm going to assume you're not human.

I finally saw this, and I must tell you I was not extremely impressed. I loved it up until he found the "star", or in this case, extremely grumpy and overacting actress. She annoyed the pants off me and pretty much ruined the rest of the movie. I also got annoyed because she did that purposeful-puffy lips thing that a lot of crappy actresses do...Keira Nightly, anyone?
I also hated Robert De Niro in this...imagine, me hating my favorite actor...but somehow, I did. He just isn't good at comedy.
