Anyone else extremely stoked on this movie. I have never been this excited about a comedy before. It looks awesome.

I'm withholding judgment. I like Michael Cera from Arrested Development, but the trailer reminds me a little too much of Dazed and Confused. And I can't tell if it's supposed to take place in modern day or the 70s... if it's the latter, that's another nail in the coffin.
I'm sure I'll see it sometime. But not necessarily in theaters.

It's modern day and trust me if you see the R-rated trailer, you will realize it is soooo not like Dazed and Confused.

Looks great. I love Judd Apatow.

I've gone through an odd bit of shift with Superbad. At first I wasn't terribly impressed with anything I saw. Then, as I was bombarded with it again and again, it suddenly started to get funny and I got really excited . Now, as I'm going to see it tonight, I'm just concerned. This is like the fifth Judd Apatow project in two years and they're hyping the hell out of it. I can't shake the feeling that the whole thing could fall flat on it's face. I dunno, I guess we'll see.

I've heard good reviews so far, so I'll remain optimistic. However, I can't help but feel like this sort of movie might be better served by a lower-profile release, followed by a stronger DVD following. We shall see!
However, tonight I'm going to go see Stardust. Woot!

I just got back and it was incredible, it is completley original to the gross out teen sex comedy genre. See it,See it,See it.

I'll disagree on 'completely original', but it was hands down the funniest thing I've seen this summer.
And, for the record, someone is going to die mixing beer and laundry detergant together. I'm gonna say the over/under is two months after the DVD is released.

Funnier than Knocked Up?
That would be impressive.

As a reasonably immature, unmarried, red-blooded American male without any thoughts of fatherhood on my plate? Yup. But, depending on where you're coming from, Knocked Up could potentially eclipse it.
Then again, depending on where you're coming from, License to Wed could potentially eclipse it, too, so maybe that's not such a helpful insight.

Saw it last night, absolutely loved it, and have been quoting it all day today (and randomly giggling at the parts I remembered). I like it better than Knocked Up...more because I have been aching for an actually funny and good high school movie, AND because I completely relate to Seth and Evan's college situation as the EXACT SAME THING happened to me last year (I was the Seth).
And now for the obligatory quotes... "That's the kind of world I want to live in *stare*." AND "I ASSUME YOU HAVE GUNS AND CRACK!"

Wow.
Just...
I don't have the words.
It was the first movie I've walked out of in at least five years. I sat through twenty minutes of unfunny raunch, and just had it. Now I feel like I'm living in a world where an alien takeover has occurred and I'm the only one they didn't implant a little virus to make me like something that JUST WASN'T FUNNY.
I mean... what was supposed to make me laugh? The constant, unending stream of graphic language? The... um... other thing?
I've seen both these actors in much better stuff, and Knocked Up was by far and away better than this crap.
It isn't an age thing, because that theater was loaded with teens and I only heard them laugh at one line. One in twenty minutes. Yeah, maybe I'm old and somewhere I missed a meeting for this sort of thing, but I did not feel bad at all getting up and walking out. Got my refund and everything.

Wow, sorry to hear it was not your thing, J.
I will also admit that I thought the first few bits were a little weak, but if you didn't find them entertaining the least then the rest of the movie will probably be equally painful for you. Different strokes, I guess. Or I could just be *way* less mature, which is a distinct possibility also.

Or I could just be *way* less mature, which is a distinct possibility also. That would explain all the gum stuck under your desk. I've had a note from the cleaning staff. Again.

Aww, I was saving that to stick in Lissa's hair when she wasn't looking...
