24 doesn't start until january? no o.c. till november? no . . . oh, that's all i care about. hmm. this sucks. i want new shows now!
on the other hand, now i won't have to come home tuesday nights for the rest of 2004, and presumably when 24 starts it will run full-steam without too many skipped weeks. that could be good.
meanwhile, though, i was elated by the announcement of the o.c. boxed set for season 1, but then a friend told me she read theresa is going to be on a lot in season 2. damn. damn! poor ryan. and summer is going back to her old ways. poor seth. hopefully the parents will be okay. north shore isn't too bad, and now hayley is on! discuss!

I've seen a few promos for a new NBC (?) series, called "Father of the Pride". It's made by the guys who brought us Monsters, Inc and Shrek, and is a cgi cartoon that follows Sigfried and Roy's Lions on (and mainly) off-stage. Looks pretty good, and it should keep us adults happy - some of the lines I've heard make me wonder just what timeslot they'll try to fit it in (maybe 9PM?).
It supposedly takes them 9 months to make an episode, so I don't know how many eps will run next season.
Other than that, I haven't seen much of what's coming ths season. Sopranos has been pushed back to 2006, so I'm not that excited about the fall lineup.

As long as there are new seasons of Scrubs, Smallville and Enterprise. I'm happy.

I'm stoked that "Arrested Development" is actually getting a second season. And I plan to watch the "Joey" spinoff just for the epic awfulness and sudden, abrupt cancellation.

Well I'm moving to a new place at the end of the month, and I'm nervous but standing firm that as of the end of this month... I'm cancelling cable TV. Sure, there are some shows I love to see regularly, but not for 40 clams a month. And with DVD TV sets coming out so frequently, why should I bother anymore?

I never really thought about it that way... 40 clams a month could almost BUY a DVD set each month. The main reason why I wouldn't do that is just because we can't get anything without cable - not even the local stations anymore. Plus, I don't know if I could do without my I love the 80's, or Whose Line is it Anyway episodes
