I'm sure Justin would probably start a thread about this soon enough, but I'm gonna beat him to the punch because I have a question - if I applied last time you were searching, should I bother applying again? Like should I update my application, or do you not want a lot of repeat business? I don't want to waste your time.

I also have a question. Should we give our forum user name when applying, or does it not matter either way? It's not like I'm afraid of losing my anonymity--I was wondering if our participation or writing ability on the forum would matter or not.

Should you apply again? If you're serious, most definitely. You're not wasting our time.
I know we've said this before, and I know many of you probably didn't believe us, but last time around we got a TON of excellent applications. We didn't say that to soothe any hurt feelings; that's just the truth. We had to pick the best ones we felt would be the best fit out of a pile of a lot of incredibly good -- and some middling-to-stinkers.
Plus, a good reason for re-applying is that it's been a year. Chances are, you've ("you've" as in "everyone has") grown as a writer, and can bring more to offer. Whether you've submitted an application five times before, or if this is your first app, we treat them all the same, and look at them without prior bias. A previous application doesn't work for or against you. So just because we didn't accept you last time doesn't have anything to do with your chances this time. Does that make sense?
If you're a member on the forum, definitely include that info. We'd want to know that. Not because it gives you an advantage, necessarily, but it helps us remember who you are more and gives us a better picture of what you're like (which can be a good or bad thing, heh).
If anyone has any more questions, please ask. The application is a bit more involved this year, but that works to your advantage: by asking for a second written work, you have more of a chance to show off your writing talents and we have more opportunity to get to know you and your style.

If we reapply with a new review, do you consider both the old and new or just the latest?

Just the new one. We'd prefer a new application.
