I don't watch many new shows (my television diet mainly consists of old Seinfeld reruns), but this new show, Lost, on ABC has me hooked like televised cocaine. I'm even more intrigued that it could evolve into something similar to The Stand (according to an interview with one of the show's creators).
Anyone else digging this show?

I caught a few minutes of the opening episode, and was intrigued as well. But, I've missed most of the series so far, so I figure that I'll just wait for it to come out on DVD.

*Cough hack*Bit Torrent*Cough*
I love Lost.
Love[/b] it.
This is coming from the gel who (before this) hadn't loyaly watched a TV program in probably 4 years.
I think my favorite thing about it is that it's more like a long (long as in it's barely begun and it already stands at 6 hours. That is enough to put LoTR to shame.) movie than a TV show.

I take it you mean the "Lost" under discussion here?Sounds intriguing, but I haven't seen any of it. I'm surprised that nobody's tried anything like this since X Files went off the air.

Yep!
The scary thing is all of Gabe's theories right there could still possibly be true.

Just thought I'd make a feeble attempt to ressurect this thread, since I started watching Lost regularly right before Christmas. This is a pretty radical show (and a pretty wierd show in an incredibly subversive way), and along with Alias it makes my Wednesday night shifts at work go by oh so fast. JJ Abrams is my homie!

The things I've seen and heard about it definitely look intriguing, but right now I only have time for one can't-skip-an-episode dramatic series a week, and 24 is it. However, like the first season of 24, I'm hoping we'll see a DVD arrive in time for the (next) holidays so I can see what the buzz is all about.

I've wanted to catch Lost as well, but missed the first few episodes. I'm also hoping this makes it to DVD soon after the season has ended.
Wednesday nights are when I try to catch West Wing, that's enough new drama to keep me busy (especially since Lissa and I are still working through WW season III).

I love lost as well. I wasn't able to catch the beginning of the series, darn school work, but they aired a show that caught up with all the major events so far a couple weeks ago. My family is also addicted so they helped in areas of understanding. This is also my first show that I am watching religiously in years. it is just so cool. it could go in so many different directions and I am pumped that I don't have any clue to wich one it will be. I also love the fact that the show's creator has a 5 year plot, knows exactly whats going to happen then that's it, no stupid plot points added just to keep it on the air. I just hope beyond hope that it will stay on the air long enough for its story to unfold.

Excuse me for a moment while I cast Post of Resurrection on this thread...
Ok, I'm ready now.
Anybody catch the season premiere last night? Anyone thought it seemed way too short, or rather, way too little happened for an entire one hour program? Anyone else have the whole hatch thing figured out last season like me?

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I do agree, that it seemed to go really fast. The reason I think it seemed like very little happened was because we basically only focused on two stories for the epsiode. Jack and the hatch, and Jack and his flashback.
Most of the later episodes last season had usually 3 stories that were given equal time.

I thought that the second show was a bit better than the premiere. I don't mind the huge cliff hanger endings on these first two episodes, I just hope that they won't always be relying on a cliffhanger to get people to watch from week to week.

I thought that the second show was super cool (my favorite bit was Kate going after the chocolate) - but I wish they would have dragged the hatch part of the show just a couple of minutes past Jack saying "What?" when he recognizes hatchbrotha. Just, like, two minutes past that exchange. But hey, I guess that's what we have next week's episode for.
Anyone else catch the logo on the shark?
