Yeah, the Simpsons Season 5 DVD is coming out on Dec. 21, I was wondering if anybody else heard about this sooner because the first I heard about it was in a flyer I read this morning, also it said "Commentary on SELECT episodes" Does that mean that they won't have it on every episode like before because honestly, the commentaries are probably the main reasons I buy the DVDs.

This is my favourite set so far, the animated menus are great, there's plenty of interesting commentary, and the fifth season had consistently funny episodes. Top marks for this one.

I haven't watched the commentaries yet, but man, some of the stuff they cut out for TV is hilarious! I really liked Homer still being trapped in the vending machine at Maggies wedding "Snacks and Soda for all!"

Season firve was one of my gifts for Lissa... imagine my surprise when I forgot to take it along with us to her folks' place, and didn't see her open it up on XMas day.  But, as soon as we got home tonight, I handed it off to her. I'm really glad that she doesn't read the TV board often, or she would have known that it was out, and may have figured out that's what I picked up at Best Buy last Tuesday ;D |
