PoolGirl has recently gotten semi-hooked on Gilmore Girls. I tried to watch it with her once, but the rapid-fire delivery of witty line after witty line by good looking women in sarcastic monotone broke down even my mighty defences.

They keep in showing commercials for this on ABC Family, every time we're watching Whose Line is it Anyway... the rapid-fire witty dialogue in the scene they keep on airing goes something like this: Really? Really? Really? Really? Stop saying that! |

It's great, because 99% of the time i don't even get the references to music/tv/movies/etc. Yet i still find the show greatly entertaining, watch it every sunday  |

I noticed it two years ago while channel surfing...and got totally hooked because of all the references...then I just fell in love with the whole show. I recommend you buy all the seasons on DVD for your mother as an excuse to purchase them, I've done it for the past three holidays:)

Since i don't get TV at all (not even peasant vision) the first time I saw the Gilmores was on DVD, and i was hooked from the beginning never to resurface to humanity untill I finished the season. Of course having only seen what's on DVD i was quite surprised once i saw a recent episode... my it changed a lot since the 4th season.
