First of all, I hate those cardboard DVD cases with a passion reserved for little else. Those things look awful, shelf awful, and probably last a lot less than the other types.
Just simply give me a DVD jewel case with the plastic center holder that is NOT the type that looks like an inverted claw. Those claw-dealies break like crazy.
Double sided discs are not fun to use, so single side only please.
For box sets, the most convenient storage type I've found is when they do very thin individual jewel cases for each disc that slip into a larger box. The worst are accordian-style foldouts. I don't have a living room large enough to spread Band of Brothers out to its full potential.

My biggest complaint is the horrible beavis and butthead dvds they realized with "director's cut" episodes. They actually had key hilarious scenes cut out of them. How stupid! Beavis. Butthead. Hilarious. No...no... I just can't figure that out.

Aeon Flux was interesting to look at but never made any sense and the people all creeped me out. Beavis and Butthead were asinine, but I have no problem going on record saying Mike Judge is a genius and that show was simply hysterical.
