Hey,
It's finally hit the best time of year. Not the almost-but-not-quite-record-setting consecutive days of rain streak in Vancouver. But the 24 season kicked off. Boy, those first three minutes were dull, the next 117 sure weren't. Two major characters killed before quarter past eight? Awesome. I like this season and the last because I don't know where it's going. Before that it was all about the assassination, or the nuke, or the bioweapon. Now even the main plot is going to be a surprise.
What did you guys think?

now that was pretty crazy. i did my absolute best to remain unaware of spoilers and thoughts about what was going to happen, although from previews and what somebody said, my guesses about who would die proved to be true.
still: fantastic. you can tell the creative team behind 24 is just getting better and better and knows not only how to heighten tension but is more aware than ever before how to play with the time format of the show. that is to say: if the hostage situation had been used in the first season of 24, it would have lasted like six episodes instead of two.
but yeah, i'm really excited. i'm avoiding spoilers, i'm leaving before the previews come up, and i'm running around screaming at friends "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR!!!!" if you aren't doing the same, i pity you.
