Wow. Shows what time does to memory. So I guess this post should have been labeled "Cannon Movie Tales" Ah, shucks. Well, now I'm going to go on a quest to find this movie and rent it...rent it, not buy it. Buying it would take all the fun out of searching for it. Internet shopping is nooooo fun.

I've actually found some of these on DVD at a local library and have been taking them out whenever I can. I've also picked up two of the 80s videos, one at a grocery store, the other at a thrift shop, both for around 3 dollars each.
We actually taped two off of HBO when they were in first-run. I wonder if Mom still has those tapes? They must be almost unviewable by now.
Favorites include "Little Red Riding Hood" with married couple Mary Steenburgen and Malcom McDowell as the hooded miss and the wolf who pursues her, a sweet "Cinderella" with Jennifer Beals as the title lass and Matthew Broderick as her prince, "The Dancing Princesses" with Leslie Ann Warren as the smartest of a set of six sisters who wear their dancing slippers out every night, and the hilarious "Tale of the Frog Prince," with Robin Williams as the ribbiting royal and Terri Garr his unwilling hostess.
