My current TV DVD set I'm exploring is Bruce Campbell's two season nutsapalooza, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Has anyone seen this show? It's absolutely crazy -- a period comedy/action/spy show set in 1801 in the East Indies, where Jack (Campbell) and his British counterpart battle the moronic forces of Napoleon's evil. Raimi's presence and Bruce's quips are heavily felt, and it's just a blast to watch. Can't believe each episode is so short, tho.

I have a very vague memory of the show, but I know I watched it. I liked it, it was fun, and then that's followed by confusion and sadness because then it was taken off. In fact it's waiting in my 'Wishlist' right now.
Next on my DVD sets list: Jack of All Trades and Are You Afraid of the Dark? (darn sold only in Canada! *shakes fist*).
Mmm hmm.

I'll probably end up writing an article about this, but what struck me first and foremost is that JOAT reminded me of those spoofs that The Simpsons would often watch on their TVs or movies -- the kinds that were over-exaggerated zany cliches of our normal boring cliches. I think JOAT would be at home on a Simpson TV screen.

I remember briefly watching this and enjoying it. Hell, I'll watch anything with BC in it.
Have you guys seen The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.? That's the other short lived, but well done, BC series.

Almost bought it at Target and then decided to wait until my cousin (inevitably) does. Glad to hear it's gonna be worth it.

I'm watching an episode right now on YouTube, and I'm blown away. Any show that has Thomas Jefferson use the phrase "Shut up" and refer to himself as T.J. is alright in my book.

I've also watched the show and loved it
On related BC trivia, he also voiced a character in the series "Megas XLR" in wich he is practicly a huge head that looks like him, and has a robot that had a chainsaw for a hand, and uses quotes such as "Groovy", you have to see those two episodes do relish in the pure Campbellness of them.

Lordmoon, Brisco County, Jr is how I was first introduced to Bruce Campbell. While I love the Evil Dead trilogy, for me, The Bruce isn't Ash, he's Brisco County, Jr. (In fact, that's what the "Wild West" is for)
I remember every vacation of my childhood was marked with memories of watching reran episodes in the morning while waiting for the rest of my family to be ready to go. It was like a good omen for travel.
So, yeah, I find Bruce Campbell comforting. He's like Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Comfy 'Jammies. He's... He's... Bruce Campbell is like my mom.
Yeah, that's it! Bruce Campbell is the male, actor equivalent of my mom. Right down to the sense of humor. I mean I've never seen them in the same place at the same time, hmm....
