I saw last night's episode, and quite liked it. Granted, I'm just happy to have Captain Tightpants on my screen again, but still. It does seem interesting, like it could get a Lost/Heroes type of following.
If FOX doesn't cancel it first.

Right now? It's OK. Cars don't really excite me, and most everyone except the astrophysicist annoys me, especially the two half-brothers.
But I'll keep watching until it actively insults my intelligence. Because it's Nathan Fillion, and Tim Minear, and Early was in the first scene, which cannot possibly be an accident. I am so, so weak.

Whew, finally caught up on the episodes. So, far, I think the show is going to be a lot of fun. I'm curious as to how they are going to stretch this out into an entire series, though. The premise seems a little too thin to just repeat these lat four episodes over and even, but I don't know what else (in terms of plot movement) they can do.
Regardless, I'm stoked to see Melanie Lynskey again after Heavenly Creatures, and I'm glad to see her character is growing a backbone. Also: is anyone else perturbed that Emma Stone's dad (the sick guy) is not in the opening credits? I'm going to be very annoyed if he kicks off early.

I like his character. I also like Melanie Lynskey's character.

Well, it's a little late now. It's just been cancelled. Everybody, say it with me: "DAMN YOU FOX!!!" Man that sucks. I really wanted to see the story play out. Another cancelled show to add to Tim Minear and Nathan Fillion's resume. Here's the info on from Wikipedia - The two-hour premiere of Drive in the United States, broadcast on April 15, 2007 at 8:00 pm, was watched by an average of six million viewers. The program did not deliver the ratings FOX desired, and on April 25, 2007, the network announced that it had cancelled Drive. The final two produced episodes may air on FOX sometime in May, or may alternatively be streamed online.

Awwww! I may not have been exactly over the moon about the show, but I still watched it and wanted to see how it played out.
This is what amazon.com has on it:
"After just three weeks (and four episodes), FOX bosses have decided that Drive won't get them where they want to go. It's pulling the show after just four episodes and right before the critical May sweeps ratings period. Instead of Drive, FOX will air reruns of House. That's right: reruns.
The high-octane drama starred Nathan Fillion (Firefly's "Captain Tightpants") and was created by Tim Minear (also a Firefly guy). Like Firefly, it attracted loyal fans and critical acclaim but not critical mass in terms of ratings.
As is often the case, there are unaired episodes remaining (two, apparently), and questions about what will happen with them. There's talk of Friday night broadcast "burnoffs," but I'm also expecting them to be made available for download. That doesn't mean we'll learn what'll happen to the racers. Will Fillion's character find his kidnapped wife? What will happen with Mrs. Patrakas (Melanie Lynskey from Two and a Half Men) and her baby?
ARGH. All I can say is, CBS better not cancel Jericho."

I never had a chance to watch this show, but I was hoping I'd be able to watch reruns after the first season ended! Why does Fox always cancel shows prematurely, and then keep us tortured with American Idol year after year even though we all know none of those people will be famous? (Except Kelly Clarkson. That was a fluke.)
