Does anyone else watch this show? I've just started it (really just started it...I'm only on episode 3) but thus far (not very far at all) I have to say that I find it pretty amusing. Occasionally it gets a little too "sitcom-y" for me, and I really want to strangle the laugh-track. But I think it's just wacky enough, and Marshall is probably the best character ever.

I do! I do! I have watched it from the start, and the earlier seasons are better, FYI. Marshall is THE BEST! It's also made me Love Neil Patrick Harris. He's hysterical. Enjoy!

awwww... lonely thread. Poolman's leg break reminded me of this show because he's Canadian. The most recent episode had to do with someone missing Canada. And apparently all people in Minnesota think Canadians are afraid of the dark. Has anyone else started watching this or is it still just aargmematey and I?

Just bought seasons 1-3 through Amazon, expect them to show up in a couple of weeks. We're quickly working through Big Bang Theory, then will probably move onto this next. I've caught a few episodes whilst on the road, and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Having Dougie in it sealed the deal for Lissa - he was soooo awesome in Dr Horrible.

I've been watching HIMYM since series one and I agree, it is mostly awesome.
Unfortunately, the recent series is noticeably worse and is in serious danger of jumping the shark.
I recommend series 1 - 3 but be wary of season 4..

Oh, I vehemently disagree DTH. It may've started off slow, but "The Fight" and "Little Minnesota" were awesome! I also laughed harder than I have at nearly any episode of any show (including Seinfeld's amazing "The Junk Mail") at "The Naked Man." "Wooo!" also was good, and "Intervention" had some very good chuckle moments.
I was worried early on though. I was afraid that they were gonna venture into Friends territory (a show that I loved for the first four years because it made me laugh consistently and then found I couldn't stop watching because I liked the characters and the actors so damn much even when it wasn't funny). Luckily, Friends refound their funny for the last two seasons; I just don't want something else clogging my television time because I've developed an unusual fondness for the characters even when their stories blow. Eh.
