Path of Neo is innumerable piles of cookies better than EtM. Of course, this is coming from someone who thought EtM barely even deserved the rating it got.

Heroes Of Might And Magic V... great adition to the series, not only a great game for every Heroes fan out there, but a very good all-around gaming experience, and I haven't even finished the second Campain yet. Oh yeah and for the record HOMM IV sucked, i mean it kinda had some nice parts, some nice ideas here and there, but it sucked, especialy the battle part of the game.
Oh yeah, and Samurai Showdown 4.

I think it's important for you all to know that your life will never be complete, be you man, woman, dog, venusian, or extradimensional being with 6 arms, until you have devoted yourself heart and soul to playing Guitar Hero for your PS2.
You don't own a PS2? This game is worth buying one for. I did!
GH has been my obsession for the past 2 months, and I've never had a game quite so addictive, yet completely midnless. The beauty of GH is that you can pick it up and play it for 5 minutes, OR you can spend 8 hours playing all 47 songs until your thumb bleeds.
It's also great fun at parties, cures all known diseases, and will clean for you whil you work!*
(*many of these facts are not true)

I am this close to buying a PS2 for Guitar Hero alone. I first got to play it on a Best Buy demo and being a guitarist, I was instantly in love. But to contribute - I've been playing X-COM (or UFO as it was originally called or something) and I'm pretty crappy at it. I mean, I want to love it, but I just can't figure out the right balance of gameplay vs resource management and research to pull it off. So today I installed X-COM 2: TERROR FROM THE DEEP and I think I'm doing much better with this one.

I also am close to buying a Ps2 (for a bunch of reasons) Guitar Hero is one of them. I played at my buddie's And Since I am also a guitarist I loved the game.

Weird, because I found UFO: Enemy Unknown to be fairly easy and have completed on many different difficulty settings. Terror From The Deep (and Rich will agree with me) was IMPOSSIBLE!!!

heh heh that reminds me:
I used to name all my X-Com characters after famous sci-fi guys and gals. So you had characters like Buck Rogers, Ellen Ripley, etc.
The "Terror Zones" on Terror From The Deep are all set on cruiseliners, as opposed to being on the shore. I took a squad in and the lobstermen that were attacking the crew wiped them out, save for Ellen Ripley.
Using a mixture of grenades and all the firearms taken from her fallen comrades, Ripley somehow single-handedly defeated the lobsters!

I think the reason Terror from the Deep is easier for me is because I've been properly primed with UFO. As a postscript, today I was MURDERED by a terror strike on a cargo boat. I'm pretty sure there's some basic gameplay tactics I'm missing and that's screwing me up pretty big time. I can do pretty good with the base management/research/budgeting and the RTS squad combat but I think I'm missing something in how these things go together. Like, when should I build a second base? Are there certain things that should be researched early after you start downing UFS's? Bah, I'm going out of town tomorrow, I'll start figuring it out next week.

Back in the days of the early Final Fantasy games (when all your legendary hero could build their name out of was four measly letters), I always named the black mage Feyd, after Feyd Rautha from the Dune series. No particular affinity for the character, I just thought it was a cool name, and four letters is a bit shy of "all I ever wanted in naming capacity".

My wrestler persona from my e-fed days and Smackdown 1 to 4 was called Fade O'Neill (that's two 'L's). Named for both Feyd and Colonel Jack O'Neill from Stargate (as played by Kurt Russell and MacGuyver).

I just beat Contra, and now am playing contra 2 (I think it's called super contra?) and I am kinda dissapointed. 3 kicks butt and 1 kicks butt but 2 is kinda lacking. oh well.

Because Justin shot X3 out of the sky (I'd say it looked good, if you had the patience of an oak tree and had the time to get into it) and because my gaming time comes in increments commonly measured on egg timers these days, I just picked up Lego Star Wars.
Dear heavens.
It's awesome! Go find a copy! Any (non handheld) system! Doesn't matter! It's pretty easy, but it's quite fun and does a FANTASTIC job of capturing both the great Star Wars Ep 1-3 vibe AND the fun of Lego. It's got a great sense of humour, and some of the puzzle based gameplay is great fun. It's not deep, but it's a good use of a few minutes at a time.
Plus, Lego Star Wars II (the original Trilogy) comes out in like two weeks, so when I'm done with this one, I can play the sequel right away! Sweet!
