Okay, a week ago (Friday, March 5th), I was out sick because my throat hurt, so I was on my computer and looking at some games I downloaded a while ago. The first one I played was Final Fantasy V, which isn't a bad game, but then I found another game, Chrono Trigger. I got totally addicted to it, and I have to say, it's one of the best RPGs for the Super NES. Also, if you've played Super Mario RPG, try looking for some similarities between the two games (The characters Frog and Mallow are a good example).

Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I even bought an eBay copy for my Super NES last year. Enjoy!

I second that. I spent a good portion of eighth grade eating, sleeping and breathing Chrono Trigger with my friend Vin. I even got the soundtrack imported from Japan and an ultracool Jazz/Fusion version of the soundtrack that I've since lost called The Brink of Time. Have a blast with it, and be sure to play the New Game +

Been playing MVP Baseball 2004 nonstop since I almost wrenched the last copy at best buy out of some middler schoolers hands last wensday. I've only broken to practice my driving (gotta practice for that driving test ) and to go to school.

Currently, I'm playing Medal of honor: Rising Sun, and have Prince of Persia on deck. But, I just won a copy of Baldur's Gate II on ebay over the weekend (gotta love ebay!), and plan on spending a lot of the next month beating that.
Hopefully Lissa won't complain about the PS2 hours too much... after all, she did get me Rising Sun for Valentine's day. Almost as cool a VD gift as the 6-pack of Guinness that she got me a few years ago! ;D

I'm not as huge into the FPS market as I used to be (the good ol' days of Wolfenstein, Doom, and Duke Nukem), but I did really enjoy the multiplayer action of Battlefield 1942 last year -- and I don't especially like playing with others online, because it grates my cheese to see words like "woot" and "ownz" used far too often.
So I was going to pick up Battlefield Vietnam, looked interesting if more of the same, but the two stunning reviews that bedfellows IGN and GameSpy did of Unreal Tournament 2004 convinced me to try the demo last night. Glad I did... it's insane action, but loads of fun. My favorite activity was hopping into the hummer-like truck and go on a road rage rampage, running over the other team. I'm going to probably pick ut2004 up today, since it's only 30 bucks.

Due to a recent surge of nostalgia, I decided to pick up one of the semi-new (and yet effectively very old.) chiclet-sized PSONEs. (I handed my Playstation down to my nephew some years back.)
So, I've been whiling away the gaming hours here lately playing Xenogears; a game thought by many to be the perfect marriage of bucolic RPG convention, and giant robots. I tend to agree.
It's also nice to know that, after all these years, Billy Lee Black is still one of the coolest characters ever, anywhere. Ever.

Has anyone had a chance to try out the new Ninja Gaiden? Definitely a great, gory way to relax from a stressful day at work. I still have my original, but Ryu definitely looks a lot better with the update.
Still battling the numcheck guy, but you can't go wrong with mid-air decapitations...

A neat game to play, for sure, but it's just so damn hard. Penny Arcade summed up my feelings pretty well: www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2004-03-08&res=lBut very cool nonetheless. I've also recently begun my trek through Gladius, which is a prety badass gladiator game done Tactics-style. Anyone else check it out? Al

I just started into Gladius yesterday! And I really am enjoying it. Very cool system, nice easy learning curve, and I can already see where the battle system is going... I'm actually quite impressed. Too bad it didn't sell well enough to ever merit a sequel. How far in are you?

I actually haven't played since I posted that, but I'm still waaaay at the beginning in The Fen, trying to figure out the easiest way to level up my school. Repeating battles I've already won are only netting me 20xp per person and my Lv.1 Light gladiators can't quite hold their own yet against Lv.3 opponents in the flyweight competition (I forget the proper name). I'm hoping to pick it up again this evening and be on the road to the next area before I go to bed. I hope.

Right now I am playing Rise of Nations. Simply because I get my butt kicked (a lot) at the LAN parties.
On a side note I am anxiously awaiting Battlefield Vietnam and my City of Heroes beta disc.

Al Move around to the different towns...beat all the easy battles which should net you a couple of levels to take on the mid-level stages of Ch. 1. Also, as soon as your strong enough take on the Yeti Challenge...He'll be you're only heavyweight for a while. Light gladiators are really only good against the heavies...and even then if a heavy gets a lucky shot their done.
