Yesterday I rented Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith - just to see if it's worth buying. So far I'm having a ton of fun with it. But... I have to ask. When you (as Obi-Wan) pick up your firstborn (as Anakin), Force-throw him into a wall, body-slam him, spindle him on your lightsaber until he stops twitching and then howl, "Sonny Boy, YOU GOT SERVED!" is that particularly un-Jedi?

Y'know, I think there *is* a clause in the Jedi code that allows for that...

It's the "What did the 5 fingers say to the face?" clause.

Heh... Sue's already on the dark side...
That reminds me of back in college when we first got (I think it was) Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. If that's not the title, it's the one where you first got to control a Jedi in that FPS/3rd Person game and your actions could determine whether you'd go to the light or dark side of the force.
So I'm in my friend's room playing it, and this guy (a HUGE Connecticut redneck) is a major Star Wars fan. Major. Anyway, I'm going through the first level, and I'm having fun... killing all civilians I come across. Friendly guy trying to point me in the direction of the hanger bay? Blaster bolt to the forehead. Innocent droid sweeping up trash? Thermal detonation reduces him to more trash for the next droid. And so on.
Well, this just ENRAGES my friend... he started yelling at me that I shouldn't be doing that, Jedi don't go killing people like that. It just really amused me how much he took that seriously. Okidoki.

Okidoki Kenobi was Obi Wan's cousin, wasn't he?

That's pretty funny, J. Reminds me of when I start playing a new Grand Theft Auto game; being the upstanding citizen I am, I always start off trying to drive safely and leave civilians alone, only killing gangstas and mobsters. Then, inevitably, a mission comes along that requires you to waste an innocent person, and since my digital self is going to hell anyway, it's on. But I guess I'm just a more peaceful man. Mr. Youth Pastor. Of course, my girlfriend tried playing once, accidentally ran over someone, and asked whether she could turn herself in, so I guess it's all relative. -D

When I first watched Star Wars and for many years afterwards, I thought the name was Obi Juan. Half brother, maybe?
