Are you Good/Evil/Somewhere in between?
Thoughts on the game?

For what it is, Fable is a heckuva lot of fun. The evolving main character is executed perfectly. It's a jarring experience to be a town heartthrob, go on an adventure, then come back to find yourself a laughing stock because you have a scar running across your face. Combat is simple and satisfying, and the spells are badass. Although I wish there were more, the wandering tattoo artists and hairstylists are a nice touch, making sure you never get too bored with your appearance. Dating, marriage, home-buying, and inter-town trading are handled with minimal pain and give the game a little more depth than it would otherwise seem to possess. For what it was supposed to be, Fable is a failure. No branching storylines, no little kids copying your hairstyle, no generations of townsfolk remembering what you did ten years ago. The enemies can get repetitious after a while, it's nearly impossible to die, load times are lengthy, every map makes you proceed on a set path, the teleport feature makes the game far too short, and for Pete's sake, why is there no jump button? If it weren't for the massive hype that preceded it, Fable would be a fantastic little gem for the XBox. Unfortunately, like every other Peter Molyneux game, it falls far short of it's ambition and has disappointed lots of people. I'm currently speeding through it as a good guy and enjoying it immensely. My friend who has chosen to be as evil as possible wants his money back. So it really comes down to expectation: if you were planning on a religious experience, you're in for a system shock. If you are hoping for a fun adventure on an RPG-starved system, you're in for a treat.
-Al Wait, what do you mean I haven't been here since May?

Looks like Xbox only. Suits me fine.
I read up on this, and I agree. Peter Molyneux genuinely contributes much-need original thought to the gaming industry, but his products rarely if ever meet up with his promises. Black and White was interesting, but let's face it, at the end of the day, it was a cow-petting simulator.

All the hype that I heard about this really only boiled down to one thing: barfights. Seriously, that's the biggest upside that anyone in my dorm has found.

Barfights? That's it? Seriously? Jeez. I never thought I'd be old at so young an age, but... back in my day, we didn't need those dadblasted idiot games to start a barfight. Nossir, we did it the old fashioned way- we walked into a bar, found the biggest, meanest guy in the place, and called his mama a lady of ill repute! Worked like a charm, by gum it did...
-D, off to gum an ear of corn...
