Hey All!
Great idea with the game survey thread Justin! Got me thinking about the fun I've had in front of the PC.
I recalled a few fun memories of games so I thought I'd start a thread of any additional memories anyone might have that wasn't necessarily the best but were still funny.
Another funny one I had was playing Jedi Outcast online. One of my favourite tools was the trip mine. When playing CTF and the other team was beating us by a huge margin and made no effort to even things out I would strategically place trip mines immediately outside the door of the enemy base. After having captured their umpteenth flag the player would come eagerly running out and right into the trip mines. Didn't make much difference to the outcome of the game but still felt rewarding.

One of my favourite tools was the trip mine. And by tool, he means "device which enrages and bewilders PoolMan whenever they played online together".

One of the coolest things I ever had happen in a videogame was when my little Final Fantasy Tactics wizard guy--who was more than likely named Mc(something); FFT's name generator seems to have had a special love for Scots--blocked an incoming arrow with his staff. Somehow, he bucked the odds and overcame the 95% probability that said he couldn't do it. What a trooper.
I was unreasonably elated. That's the only time I've ever seen that happen.

The FFT games and Ogre Battle games were awesome for things like that (the random wicked blocks, not the Scottish name generation, although I agree). You'd figure a guy was dead for sure and WHAM! He'd pull off some insane move to save his own life. Course, then he'd die on the next turn...
My favourite thing to do in Jedi Outcast (and I did this a LOT in the single player campaign) was to locate a room full of stormtroopers and Mind Trick the ones with the insanely overpowered guns. Find that one standing in the middle of the crowd with the rocket launcher and get him shooting at his friends. Also fun in Jedi Academy, where you can choose to fully power the Mind Trick early in the game.

Ah Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre, truely under rated. A favorite moment in video game history..... hmmmmm..... I've been playing the Megaman series a lot lately, and it's really hectic when you and the boss are both down to like nothing, and you have to just get that one last bullet off on him, and it's just so nerve wracking!!! I guess you gotta be there to understand I guess. It is just that, barely often does a game get ya excited anymore ya know. Oh, the other night I won my first Warsong Gulch in WoW in like a month or two, we cleaned them out, 3/0 and there was no screaming or cheating, and it was mostly a pickup group. And my fiance was there too and it was her first game in a while. That was a good moment...
