Knockoff systems

Does anyone have any experience with systems like these? I've been speaking with a friend who came into a large number of NES games at an auction, but doesn't have a working player. He was thinking of selling them to me at a rather good price, but a reliable Nintendo is tough to find these days. The sellers of these knockoffs always say it's guaranteed to work, but it never says for how long. Thoughts?

I reccomend just going with what you have already, use your computer, buy a $5 controller from Wal-mart and get an emulator and all your games here. It's just as legal as that unusual machine, and much less expensive! ;D

Yeah, I did that at length back in college. For whatever reason, though, I could never find myself as interested in the game when it was on a computer screen. Next door on the 13" TV? I'll play for hours. 19" flat screen? I'll give up after 20 minutes. I don't know why that is, but it's true. Given the choice, I'd probably spend the extra cash to actually play it on a television. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I've never heard of hacked consol's being illegal but I reviewed all of those and they sure look shady indeed. One sec, lemme go find the consol I reccomend for ya. HAH I found one. This one is a legit top loader. These are awesome!

That is a new link to a new seller and system, the old link went dead or something, ebay's remote linking is being very touchy right now apparently. That is the legit top loader made by Nintendo. Very worth it. Top quality, yadda yadda, isn't bound by the touchy spring loaded old ones.
