Been enjoying the reports from E3 this year so far... anyone else following this?
Of personal note:
* The "Wii" (wheeeee) actually became the star of the show, and reportedly had a line of up to a thousand people waiting just to play it -- contrasting to the disappointing lines at the XBox 360 and PS3 booths. Who knows? Might pull it off after all. I *am* tempted in the fact that the Wii will sport a downloadable library of older games from various systems (pleeeeease do Chrono Trigger, then I'll buy it), and it'll be about the third of the cost of the PS3.
* I'm keeping an eye on the three most promising upcoming MMORPGs: Vanguard, Conan and Warhammer. All have their appeals, but there's some info on how cool Conan will be -- there's even PVP bar fights where all you fight with is tankards and if you lose you're just thrown out on the streets.
* I'm excited that there's a few city building games on the way -- CivCity Rome foremost
* Hellgate: London looks incredibly replayable
* WoW revealed their new alliance race, which seems kinda cool
* Loads of other promising games: Spore, Crysis, Medieval 2, Star Trek Legacy, Neverwinter Nights 2, Gothic 3, Sid Meiers Railroads

You're forgetting BioShock, the (spiritual) successor to System Shock 2, which many of you have known I've been obsessed over for a couple of months now. It's apparently getting Best of Show awards from gaming sites all over the place (for what that's worth).
Premise? You find yourself in an underwater city that was some sort of utopian experiment, complete with '40s era art deco architecture, advertisements, and other really neat subtle hints. Except everyone is dead...or are they?
According to early reports, the plot centers around the inhabitants developing some sort of gene-changing substance to make them "better". And by "better" of course I mean "crazy scary monsters that haunt my nightmares".
The big deal on this one is how the enemy AIs all interact with each other. There's some really nifty ecological things that go on between them, from what I read.
This may be the game that actually leads me to start committing hold-ups so I can get a better pc.

The more I read, the more BioShock and Hellgate: London really seem to impress me. I think it's getting a LOT harder for me to get hooked on games nowadays, and one thing I crave the most is replayability (or at least a very long length). We shall see!
