Just a curiousity point. Are there any videogames you've played before you've been utterly craving to play again lately?
After reading the reviews for the New Super Mario Bros, I found myself dying to play Super Mario World for the SNES (which I have, score!).
Also, while I was loading Windows XP on my computer (yes, another OS install, it's getting old hat now), I found myself completely jonesing to play Smash Bros on the Cube. I have to get a copy of that before the Cube goes nipples up.

All the time. It's usually a good movie or book that will put me in the mood for a game. Watching "Deadwood" Season 2, which receives my highest recommendation to anyone who can stand the filthiness of it, had me go run out and buy Gun, since it's only $15 now and I've already beaten Red Dead Revolver and Dead Man's Hand. Watching Gladiator or Spartacus invariably puts me in the mood to try and beat Gladius yet again. Watching The Last Stand this weekend made me pick back up X-men: Legends II. And all the swirl surrounding Advent Children a few weeks back made me buy a PC opy of FF7 from eBay last weekend ($35 plus s+h from Singapore, yeesh), which is a game I played years ago and was pretty thoroughly unimpressed with. And don't get me started on the days I have to pull out my Atari Classics Collection...
So, yeah, the nostalgia bug gets it's hooks in me pretty good.

Yeah,I was watching Scarface the other day and then I began to want to play vice city. So I have to go to a Video Store and Rent a PS2 (because we have a game cube) and the game.

I have major seller's regret -- I wish I held on to my copy of Chrono Trigger to replay at home some day. But since I wouldn't have time, oh well.

Chrono Trigger is a big one for me too, from time to time. I lent mine to my friend Jesse in eighth grade and never got it back. He went to a different high school and we just drifted apart. During one particular craving, I went so far as to actually try and get back in touch with him after 6 years of not talking to retrieve it. It would have been cool if he had called me back so I could see what he's been up to and all, but, when the dust settled, it would have been about the game.

I have major seller's regret -- I wish I held on to my copy of Chrono Trigger to replay at home some day. But since I wouldn't have time, oh well. Chrono Trigger? This from the guy who said he didn't like Morrowind because it was boring? I mean, yes, I can certainly see how it would be less boring to repeatedly see the same message come up on the screen saying "white wolf gets whacked!" or whatever the heck it was rather than having to kill a Cliff Racer every fifty yards, but still. I sometimes go back and play Disciples II (of course) or the first Deus Ex game. Or Morrowind, when I get tired of the fact that in Oblivion your character can wear clothes OR armor, but not both. (I am waiting for the day when some clever modder figures out a way to fix this other than the lousy clipping "wear one robe over armor" mod I'm using.)

Check out a fun new game called "Feminists Gone Wild," in which a short pudgy woman with a crew cut and an axe chases a stocky goateed youth pastor around inside a mall. Earn bonus points for every Barbie you whack and every pink object you set fire to! Beat up the snotty clerks in Hot Topic and earn a variety of Goth/Punk outfits! Thrill to the excitement of terrifying level bosses who throw killer minilops at you from a distance while shrieking "Send more reviews!"
Coming soon to a Shalen near you.

"white wolf gets whacked!" That would be Secret of Mana. It's easy to get your early-90s foppy-haired swordslingers mixed up.
