That's what Lacuna Coil told us. Both Lacuna and Guitar Hero 2 use our pickups, EMGs. I'm guessing either something fell through or Lacuna will be one of the unlisted bonus tracks.

So...Update...I LOVE GUITAR HERO TWO! I like the two player options (Competitive or Lead/Bass), I love the songs (i can play Stray Cat Strut forever), and the level of difficulity is good (one of these days I'll move up to the "hard" mode). I love that one of the guitarists is rockabilly (yummy, i have a crush on a video game character!) and that you can earn money and buy them different clothes (okay so i'm a girl so what!)....We've done a couple guitar hero 2 hero parties and I stand by this as the best "party" video game ever!

So, I was online looking for another axe for my Guitar Hero II (since it's so much more fun to jam together!) and came across some cool news... there will be an 80's version coming out this spring!
I wonder if a synth will be available as an add-on controller... ;D

Such an awesome, awesome game. have beaten all songs on all difficulties except for jordan on expert and have 5* on all songs on easy and medium and only have a couple left to do on hard.
As for the rumoured 80's version i'd love to see some more metal in there. Old school Metallica, classic Iron Maiden and Slayer (raining blood methinks?) would be killer.

I finally got a chance to play Guitar Hero at Clare's house... she and her hubby have both games. As a thank-you gift for my stay there I bought them a second controller, so we rocked out, big time.
I think I shocked Clare a little bit... I had picked it up in a matter of a single song, and by the end of the week was scoring 100% on tunes like Tattooed Love Boys and Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart. PoolMan will live forever on Clare's memory card!
Oh, and the inclusion of the Trogdor theme on GH2 was a stroke of GENIUS.

This is possibly the greatest game ever made, and I'm really trying to save money so I can buy it myself. What I like is that it's the only game I can beat my friends at. They all play DDR and Karaoke Revolution, neither of which I care for, and GH actually involves some talent beyond stomping on buttons or singing badly-but-in-tune. It's awesome, although now that I'm really learning guitar (classical, not rock....I'm too nerdy to rock) it's kinda taking a negative effect over my real guitar abilities. Didja know that real guitars have six strings, and way more than 5 frets?

So...after you are a guitar hero then what?...a guitar villian!!!
"Gamespot is reporting that Activision has filed trademarks for two titles, Guitar Villain and Drum Villain, both for things like "computer game software" and "toy guitars designed to be used as controllers for computer games."

Well, I caved. I went out and bought a slimline PS2 (on the hella cheap!) and the GH2 bundle set. I'll probably buy GH1 eventually too. I traded in a bunch of games, so it didn't cost a lot out of pocket, but now I can officially rock in the comfort of my own office.
Bonus: It's one of the few video games my wife has seen me play and actually wanted to join in on! She's not bad either, she scored 84% on her first try after the tutorial. I may have to spring for that second guitar!

I say buy the second guitar. I have sooooo much more fun on this game when I'm jammin' with da band. My original is sporting a Von Hellion skin, and I also picked up a flying V. They rock! ;D

Oh, I'm aware of the potential of the second guitar. I bought one for Mutant Clare as a thank you gift when I was in Texas, and it was GOBS of fun. With both GH1 and GH2 to rock out on, and lots of willing participants, we had a great time.

It's definitely high on my list to get. Need to find a really cheap PS2 first.
I think the Wii is coming out with Ukulele Hero.

Slimline PS2's may be had for about $100 US used now. But I thought you already had a PS2! In fact, scratch that, I KNOW you did/do. What happened?
And Wii is confirmed to get GH3. Blinky will be pleased. "I have Wii! And guitars! And Wii!"

My PS2 burned out... oh, four years ago? I've only thought of replacing it for FFXII and Guitar Hero.
However, I think a Wii might be in our future, so if you're correct, then it might be just worth waiting.

I have a new Playstation and you're waiting on a Nintendo Wii?
OH, THE IRONY.
