I'm... debating. Mostly because I've been enjoying playing GameCube titles with my wife. But I'll probably wait and see what it ends up being like -- and more details on the older game downloading service (for instance, if they offer downloads of Chrono Trigger, I am so in).

I've never been into the console systems enough to line up to buy one or rush out for it the week it's released. I f I do get it it will probably be a long ways down the road, and it will depend ont what the games look like.

As far as Nintendo tells it you'll be able to download every game that has ever appeared on their system (excluding Gamecube but you'll be able to play GC disks in Wii) as well as some games from Sega and NEC's Turbo Grafix 16. The huge library of downloads as well as the really low price point (compared to Xbox and PS3) are the main selling points for me. I already have the Zelda game fully paid off and will be lining up Nov. 19th for my Wii.

Actually, it's not QUITE like that according to a few articles I dug up... the Virtual Console will launch with several titles ($5 for NES games, $8 for SNES, $10 for N64), but certainly not all of them. And they've said that some developers (like Rare) will not be releasing their games for resale due to conflicts with current contracts. Still, I think it's probably the biggest selling point of the system - for me. My SNES isn't in that great of shape, and nostalgia and Nintendo fans are like PB&J. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console_%28Wii%29

Okay, that makes more sense. But I'll be perfectly happy with at least getting all the first party games. I did also hear that they might be putting on a bit of a shine on the old games. Nothing major but a bit cleaner.

You know, I'll say this for Nintendo: this trailer for Super Smash Brothers Brawl has got me way more interested in the Wii than I was before. I didn't even know a new SSB game was planned, but these new contenders... Zero Suit (AKA "hot") Samus? Wario? Solid Snake? Freakin' KID ICARUS??? If Captain N is an unlockable character, I'll buy a set the day it's released. The bottom picture loads the trailer fastest: media.wii.ign.com/media/748/748545/vids_1.html(Gonna be a looooong two years till the Wii price comes down...) -D
