The game that leaked around a year ago was shut down due to copyright issues. Since Sony/Paramount are deathly afraid of making money, a Ghostbusters Game that, apparently, the entire internet wanted, wasn't what they were looking for.
Fortunately for us, Dan Aykroyd cares about us still, and has been in cahoots for a while with Harold Ramis making his own Ghostbusters game. The game will not only be written and produced by them, but also staring them AND Bill Murray AND Ernie Hudson AND Annie Potts; all of whom will be returning to their original rolls.
I'm getting most of this information from Game Informer, the latest issue has the good ole' logo on it and has lots of information, including an interview with Danny. The game will appear on all consoles. There's also going to be a separate version on the Wii which follows the movie and includes a four player split screen multiplayer, though the regular one (which is set in 1991) might have multiplayer as well.
Oh, and as far as I know, you won't have to buy GAS for the Ecto in this one.... (Horrible NES memories...)
