Hey crew,
I know there are Gaiman fans on the board here, I'm wondering if anyone's yet read American Gods. I bought it on a whim the other night, and tore through the first four chapters like buttah. I think the story's kinda strange, but I have to admit, I love the style in which Gaiman writes, at least so far.
Anybody read this already? Got thoughts to share? Please don't spoil for me, though!

Unsuprisingly, read it, loved it.
All of Gaiman's stuff is top notch - his Sandman graphic novels are the finest 'comic-style' stories ever, and his novels are equivalently great.
And I've met him.
And my housemate has a signed copy of Preludes and Nocturnes from when he met him.

Yup, Am Gods is great stuff, as is Neverwhere (which I favor a bit more over AG, but that's just me).

Only one I've read so far is Good Omens, which he wrote with Terry Pratchett. Absolutely hysterical!

I recently recommended Am. Gods to a friend. She got weirded out by the hooker scene (if you've read it, you know what I'm talking about.)
Just wait until she gets to the part with the djinn and the taxi cab driver...

I personally loved the outcome of the djinn scene. Not the sex, but how they traded places. How the passenger really had no other choice...
I read this novel a few months ago. I got the book for a buck at a flea market. Good stuff.
I really ain't into Gaiman much... he brings back awful memories. Not his fault, really.
