Been in love with 'em for the last decade. Roland is probably one of my favorite literary characters of all time, and most of my original internet handles had something to do with him or the series (my email address and original mrfh forum name, gunslinger, for example). It's tough to make out, but my current avatar is the picture on the last page of book one.
As for Song of Susannah, I can't complain just yet. stephenking.com says it'll be out June 8th, and I can tolerate that. Waiting six years between books four and five was a killer, so six months I can deal with. I wish it haste, but not at the expense of some final polish.
Al Oy!

I've wanted to read that for awhile, but haven't been able to get ahold of it.

I actually just started reading them. I skimmed through Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla, but I thought I should actually go and read the series. I'm a big fan of The Stand and I'm intrigued by King trying to tie all of his books together.
So I bought The Gunslinger at the airport last week (I also bought Lolita there and read that first). I finished it yesterday. It definitely got better as it went--I especially enjoyed the conversation b/w Roland and the man in black. After work yesterday I picked up parts II and III. The Drawing of the Three has been great so far--I'm in "The Pusher" section right now. I probably would've finished it last night if I hadn't been so tired. The entire Eddie Dean section was great--I was getting nervous wondering if Eddie would be caught or not.
I'll tell you how I like part III later this week. My boyfriend's out of town until Tuesday, so I should get a lot read before he gets back.

The Wastelands is probably my favorite with Wizard and Glass as a close second (not that the other three are bad, they only rank low relatively speaking). I hope you're enjoying them.
Al -late to the discussion... again
