My friend told me about a comic called SCUD the disposable assasin but I can't find any of them at the local store, does anyone know if they're still being made? And if not, are there any paperbacks? And also, are there any paperbacks for the clerks comic.

Hmm... since I used to have a Scud avatar and a Scud quote, guess I can handle this one... Scud the Disposable Assassin was a hilarious comic from the mid-90s by a guy named Rob Schrab. It was kinda like the Tick, but if possible even more insane. The premise is that in the future, you can buy robot assassins from vending machines and program them to kill a target of your choice. To eliminate evidence, the robots self-destruct after killing their targets. However, one particular Scud robot happens to see the self-destruct warning label on his back during the fight with his target, and decides he doesn't want to die. So instead he blows her (a giant monster named Jeff) arms and legs off, then starts taking on freelance hit jobs to pay her hospital bills, because if she dies, so does he. A premise ripe with possibility, I'm sure you'll agree. However, it's also extraordinarily annoying because Scud ran 20 issues and then, with one issue left in the story, stopped. The final issue, #21, never has and (according to Scud's creator) never will come out, so it's all a bit anti-climactic. There were 4 collections of Scud, which are all long out-of-print but well worth picking up if you can find them (I recommend eBay, that's where I got mine). They go like this: Heavy 3PO- issues 1-4 Programmed for Damage- issues 5-9 Solid Gold Bomb- issues 10-15 Yellow Horseman- issues 16-20 Like I said, there's a lot of neat villains (I didn't know Ben Franklin was a voodoo lord, did you?) and cool storylines (Scud's arm needs repair, so he gets a loaner human arm, but it turns out to have belonged to a werewolf and wolfs out every full moon), and it really gets good in the last few issues... but then it's over. There were also a few spin-off comics starring Scud's friends (Drywall Unzipped, The Drywall and Oswald Show, La Casa Nostroid, Scud: Tales From The Vending Machine), some of them pretty funny. And a video game that was apparently pretty bad. Hope that helps! "Surreality just got funky!"-D

Oh, and there are indeed trade paperback collections of the various View Askewniverse comics. The "Clerks" one collects the following:
-Clerks one-shot (Dante and Randal enter the lucrative business of dealing... Star Wars toys) -Clerks Holiday Special (Dante visits Caitlin in the mental institution, Randal searches for a Motley Crue jean jacket, and Santa's new helpers? J&SB.) -Clerks: The Lost Scene (the lost scene from the movie in the funeral home, first done as a comic and later in animated form for the 10th anniversary DVD)
The "Chasing Dogma" TPB collects the Jay & Silent Bob miniseries that bridges the gap between Chasing Amy and Dogma. Many of the plot elements from it were later used in the movie Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. There was also a J&SB comic one-shot story, but I can't remember if it's in that TPB or not.
And there's a Bluntman & Chronic TPB too. That was original, though, not a collection of earlier material.

Yup, that's the one. Scud Heartbreaker series 1373. And later, his bounty hunter/girlfriend Sussudio (and I don't care what anyone says, I AM naming my first daughter that).
"I like this. And if I beat you, you are mine?" "Baby, if you land one punch, I'll make you breakfast."

Now doesn't the name Sussudio kinda sounds like a Phil Collins song? Just a bit?

I am also wondering what strange adventures and other comic book partners Superman and Batman are having in your dwelling zones?
