The world of heavy metal has lost one of its greatest guitarists. This is just horrible. Not just for him, but for everyone who was killed or injured that night (which included Darrell's brother, Vinnie). It's just shocking how something like this can happen. You can't bring a nail clipper on a plane, but a man can bring a gun into a concert. My heart goes out to the family and friends of all the victims.

I heard about that on the news. I'm not a big fan, but I know quite a few people who are going to be torn up about this.

I've never been a big Pantera fan, but as a fellow guitarist I have mad respect for Dimebag. He was a great guitarist, and he used to write articles for the Guitar mags I used to read. They were always pretty awesome. His custom guitar models are sick (in a very good way).

I will raise my goblet of rock, and have a toast for Dimebag tonight.

I found out about this only a couple of hours after it'd happened, and i just couldn't believe it. Really, I still can't. I'm just glad I got to see him when Damageplan came to Halifax. I can't count the amount of times I've listened to Cemetery Gates since I found out. Well, anyways, this is a great loss to the metal world, and he will be missed. My condolences go out to the Abbott family. I hope you make it through this. Keep strong.
