A comics legend has just passed away. For those unfamiliar with Dave Cockrum, he was the artist who, with writer Len Wein (soon succeeded by Chris Claremont) created the All-New, All-Different X-Men in 1975. Cockrum designed such popular characters as Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, and Thunderbird and penciled many famous X-Men stories, including the one that introduced Jean Grey as the Phoenix.
