avril can play anything! she's like paul mccartney, except with those wrist "warmers" made out of sweat socks.

avril's live recordings are pretty awesome. i can't make anyone burned mix cds full of live avril and other emo goodness *wink* but if you aren't grooving on that, you can usually find the 'avril: my world' dvd used fairly easily.

Earlier today I was walking back to my dorm and one of my floormates had her door open and was blasting "Girlfriend." I stopped to compliment her song choice and we ended up having a mini-dance party playing only that one song for a good twenty minutes.

Haven't bought the album yet, but just wanted to say that if you like the English version of "Girlfriend," the Japanese version is just fun all around!

actually, i've only listened to it once. under weird circumstances.

see, both myself and my co-worker tim were convinced the album of the year came out last tuesday.

for me, it was the new avril.

for tim, it was the new nine inch nails.

here's what i did: i borrowed his nin and ripped it into my laptop, then created a mix cd (i titled "nine inch avril" because i am a GENIUS) where it was an avril song, then nin, then avril, then nin, so on and so on.

we blasted it at work all thursday for redlands market night crowd. and i mean BLASTED IT. (later, we played nerf gun battle in the offices upstairs. i don't think 'nine inch avril' contributed to us making that corona-fueled decision, but i know avril was in my heart as i tried to shoot my friends in the eyes with nerf darts)

all of which is to say: IT IS AWESOME. people are like "how can you like avril? i don't understand!" to which i'm like "I AM A MAN WHO DISCOVERED THE WHEEL!"

Ugh, I'm going to blame the fact that I am almost 9 months pregnant, but I saw the video for 'When You're Gone' this morning for the first time and cried for, literally, 10 minutes.
