Okay, I know it's not everyone's cup o' tea, but I can't get over my love of really catchy (if simplistic) techno, dance, trance, and any other songs that might get the remix treatment at a club. What are your favorites?
My current top 10 (no particular order):
1. Bolero - Just About Enough 2. BT - Somnambulist 3. Cascada - Everytime We Touch 4. Crazy Frog - Axel F 5. Vinylshakerz - One Night In Bangkok 6. DDR - Mr. Wonderful 7. Freeloaders - So Much Love To Give 8. Kylie Minogue - Giving You Up 9. Scatman - Scatman
and of course
10. Haddaway - What Is Love

In no order:
1. Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger 2. Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy 3. Moby - Run On 4. the X-Ecutioners - (Even) More Human Than Human 5. Xzibit - Hey Now 6. Cher - Strong Enough (Yeah, yeah, shut uppa yo' mouth) 7. Stone Roses - She Bangs the Drums 8. the Hampster Dance 9. DJ Logic - French Quarter 10. Kid Koala - Emperor's Main Course
Keep in mind that I don't listen to much of that crazy electro-type music.

I go to school in Fairfield, Connecticut.
For those of you that don't know what that means, it means that I now, after four years, believe that techno music should die a slow and painful death. The last straw was the techno version of "Stairway to Heaven" that I heard a few weeks ago. "Stairway to Heaven" is obnoxious enough in and of itself, we don't need a repetitive back beat adding to the torture.
But, gun to my head, I can deal with the techno version of "Sweet Caroline", as it definitely livens up a party around these parts.

I have to go with:
Alice Deejay/ Better off alone. One of the first dance songs I ever got to dance to with the glowsticks (Yes, I can do it) Sandstorm. another of my favorites John Digweed: Heaven scent. Much respect to the movie Groove for that one.

Alright, I'll knock the Hamster Dance off the list, and in its place, put a remix of Megadeth's "Crush 'Em" that is quite sweet.

Sorry OBM but I just can't imagine the hamster dance coming on in a club and riots not ensuing. It's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head and then you spend hours trying to get it out.
Had a look at the video for "Crush 'Em". They remind me of the Young Gods.

I didn't really take clubs into account when I made my list. I generally hate that sort of techno (the beats...THE BEATS...), so I avoid clubs like the plague. Not my bag.

Hmm. I enjoy techno at clubs enough, but generally if I'm planning my own one-gal private dance party at home my songs generally consist of ABBA tracks. And Billy Ocean's "Get Out of My Dreams, Get Into My Car" is ALWAYS the kick-off song.
I just recently heard a techno remix of "Comfortably Numb" that made me want to scratch my eyes out.
