Thanks for getting the first mix out so soon, Kyle. Could you post the tracklist, or is the mystery part of the appeal?

How 'bout... when you send out a mix tape, put the song list in here, for the rest of us to see? I mean, after all... if Kyle hadn't done this, I'd never know that Avril covered "Knockin' on Heaven's Door". I now feel complete

Oh, and Kyle... you mentioned High Fidelity (Nick Hornsby's book is awesome, by the way). Have you read Rob Sheffield's "Love is a Mix Tape"? I'm about halfway through it, started it shortly before you posted this thread... so far, it's been pretty good. I have a feeling that you'd be able to relate to Rob, at least the parts I've read so far.

There's also a pretty good essay about mix tapes in the book "Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs" by Chuck Klosterman (sp?). It's a very good book altogether too.

Just got mine today (I was one of the later ones sent out) and before I make mine today, can I assume that we're operating under the "whatever theme we want goes" system?

also: the coffeehouse girl is on the backburner, so now i'm interested only in whether or not that initial kyle mix could effectively communicate that i am
- attractive in terms of both personality and creativity - playful and fun - attentive and caring - a gemini - a fan of spending days at the beach, nights at a beachside bar, and late nights by a bonfire on the beach before retiring to a cabana - intelligent, emotional, and sensitive - other
if you could in anyway let me how effectively that mix approximates the desired effect, i'd appreciate it. thanks!
