Hey, figured since this is Halloween week, I'd ask what people are up to.
Myself, I'm working in the Haunted Hall we're running in my dorm. The past few days I've been a spinoff of everyone's favorite hockey-masked machete man, but I had a tied down victim and a tied up victim to get to later. I thought it was kinda fun.
This week I have my black trenchcoat and my cage mask (think Raven from Thirteen Ghosts with a hood) so I'll be super duper scary with my glowstick mouthpiece.
Whaddabout you peeps?

Well, for the big festival of Halloween Night, my sweetums and a few friends of ours are coming over to help with the flow of little kiddies that is bound to come to my suburbian paradise. We're still debating what to give out to the kids (most of the attendees are voting that we give Sweet 'N Low packets).

I'm wearing a fox tail all day. No, not a real one. A fake one.
I'm going to school in it. I'm leaving school with it on. I'm going to the mall with it on. I'm gonna play DDR, in front of dozens of people, with it on.
Then maybe, if I feel bold enough, I'll go across the border with it on. See how the agents react. XD

Figuring I should somehow acknowledge the holiday tomorrow with the girls I work with, but not quite sure how. I was going to bake, but I'm not sure if I'll have time tonight and my giant cookie book that has all the Halloweeen cookies in it is still packed, and I'm not in the mood to look for it in the carefully stacked boxes. Maybe I'll just get cupcakes at the bakery or something. Friday night... don't know. Probably not much this year. Stay at home and give out stuff to trick-or-treaters (although all we've got this year is coupons for free frosties at Wendy's- we live in an apartment complex that doesn't have a lot of kids, and I really don't need a whole leftover bag of candy sitting around!!!!) Alas, my Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot costume is going to have to sit it out this year (much to my dismay). The wife is getting induced Thursday morning. Meaning I'll be at the hospital for halloween.
However, next year I'll be able to dress the baby up as the killer rabbit, and get my wife to be Zoot. Just gotta get her to approve the killer rabbit thing...

Ooh, Jay, I hope the induction goes well... and I hope it's not for serious reasons, just delay. I was born really late, and my mom had to be induced. At a month late, I was teeny, but I grew into the juggernaut I am today, so I hope it all goes great!
And if the public get votes, I say the baby MUST be the killer rabbit next year. I demand pictures.

Good luck with the induction! And I agree with Pooly- the baby must be the killer rabbit. That's just too cute!

Honestly, I don't really know why they want to induce her already. She's due today (10/28/03), and Thursday is only two days away. And I'm also quite surprised that my wife hasn't raised a stink, since I thought they only induce after like two weeks or something. But then again, wifey gets more and more and more miserable with each passing day, and we've taken to going to Walmart like every night, just to try to walk the little booger out of her. So she's ready, and so am I for that matter. That's why we're not putting up much resistance to the inducing. I mean, the doctor has to have his reasons, so I'm all for it. They've done some crazy stuff to my wife lately at these visits anyway...the nature of which shall not be divulged here so that we may keep our male audience.
Back on topic...hopefully I'll be passing out some candy (but probably not), and looking for a tiny pumpkin costume for the young'un.

We completed part of the Halloween ritual last night, and watched Rocky Horror on DVD. No costumes or props, though

For me, Halloween is one of the most imortant holidays and it defiantaly has the most meaning to me. But, this Halloween, instead of scaring the bejesus out of people or trying to contact the dead in some fashion, i'll be going to a party. And these people wouldn't know how to throw a Halloween party if Satan himself shown up and doing the Macarena. It's going to be alco-pops and <shudders> Party games......Sexy...Ranchy...Party Games. I change my mind, im looking forward to the party!
Im also aware that neither Satan, nor the Macarena has nothing to do with Halloween. Just picture it thought. It's kinda funy.
