Oh man, and I swear, Transformers was gonna be, like, my 3rd movie reviewed, too. Might have to push that one back a ways... hope you guys reeeeeeeally like the Transformers, though. But seriously, loved the review, Justin. Kudos for mentioning Spike's use of the S word, too... honestly, HOW did that one get past the censors?! And way to bash Perceptor... everybody else is turning into fighter jets and off-road vehicles and tyrannosaurs, and you become a microscope? How did he not have the world's biggest inferiority complex? Till all are one! ;D -D

I mentioned to Rich I was watching it, and he immediately went back and watched it that night, and sent in a review as well. It's an inescapable cult.

Ironically, TF: The Movie was what I was planning on suggesting if ever I won a forum contest. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
Nice review there, Pugsley, though I do have to disagree with you about one thing. The squawking hair band soundtrack is actually one of my favorite things about the film.
It would seem that, in our stance on this issue, we are diametrically opposed; a pair of dwarvenly guys on a teeter-totter, as it were.
And now, a Transformers story, that's also kind of movie relevant, or perhaps not.
When I was but a wee lad, growing up in the gritty urban jungle of central Kansas, Transformers ruled the little kid world.
I was either a poor waif at the time, or just more interested in GI Joe, so I didn't have many TF figures of my own. Fortunately, my friends compensated for me by having a crapload of them.
There was even one rich kid who had all of the Constructicons, and the Devastator-making capability thereof; an accomplishment of incomparable prestige at the time. I'm not sure that anybody actually liked him all that much, but we were more than happy to use him for his wealth.
This brings me to my actual story, which I have Justin's Ratchet reference to thank for the reminding of.
It was a dark and stormy night, in the sense of being a perfectly clear afternoon, and my older brother was taking me along with him to the house of one of his his-aged friends. Said friend also had a my-aged little brother, with whom I was shooed into another room to play with Transformers while the older guys watched Bachelor Party. I distinctly remember Ratchet being one of the toys present.
And so it was, that Ratchet heroically protected my young eyes from the evil of boobies. The End.
