Great review Kyle. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I like the "random exultation" aspect of your writing style. You know, the "yowzas" and "yeahs" that pop up every now and again, often with little provocation. They make my day every time.
And now, a musing on Japanese film. A musing unsullied by actual firsthand knowledge, I might add.
It seems to me, based on the Japanese films I've seen reviewed on MRFH, (A whole two, counting this one.) and no doubt affected by my American perspective, that Japanese filmmakers like to play the "Ooh! Lookit all the controversy!" card, in a country that I surmise to be numb to most if not all forms of shockification.
Go go gadget bigoted cultural generalization!!

Actually, between Kyle and Rich, our Japanese film experts, we've reviewed quite a few of their movies, including:
Battle Royale Battle Royale II Versus Dark Water Ringu Uzumaki (or whatever it is) Audition

And I have another Japanese film review 'Zatoichi' in mind waiting for the translation to paper as well.
2 films my arse!
Actually, Suicide Club is a film I've been trying to find for ages, since DuesDragonExx recommended it to me - its not an easy find over here though without actually buying the DVD.

Battle Royale and Suicide Club were the only ones I was aware of. Evidently, I've been falling asleep in class again.
