After being subjected to this film countless times as a child -- and hating it, more and more, each time I saw it -- I still have little desire to see it again. But that aside, Drew, great review. You have labored not in vain over the anvil of words, and have crafted something worth reading.

You're telling me even your devoted wife can't wise you up to the majesty of this movie, J? Caramel, make the boy see reason, won't you? Seriously, thanks for the praise. Glad to hear all my, er, anviling wasn't in vain. -D

Actually Drew, one of my very best friends called me the other night and said she really REALLY loved your Wonderful Life review. I sort of thought she'd make her presence known and tell you herself, but as she hasn't, here's me doing it for her. (I thought it was groovy too, but I may be the ONLY person of my generation who has not seen that movie.)

Heh... Sue's comment reminded me of one of my favorite lines from the old Batman cartoon: Robin: "You mean you've never seen 'It's A Wonderful Life'? How is that possible?" Batman: "I could never get past the title." -D

Sue, does that mean we're from different generations, or your fact-finding method is flawed? For you see, if you google "those born in the sixties who haven't seen It's a Wonderful Life and aren't stranded on a deserted isle", you would have found my name. Or maybe not. I'm too lazy to check
