I've been waiting for a while to see this movie reviewed. It's quite an awesmoe movie. Nice to hear that the Steve thing actually works in a way. I have some definite proof now. I'd say that's a fairly accurate review.
Anyway, I'm really exited because the person Dex is based on went to my college. If you notice at the end credits it says, "Based on a story by Duncan North. Based on an idea by Duncan North. Based on Duncan North." Duncan North went to St. John's College, from what I heard both the Annapolis and Santa Fe campuses. The program there is quite different than most colleges. If you notice at some point in the movie someone is looking through Dex's library and says, "you have a lot of great books." This was a bit of a nod to what the program is called, the great books program. All classes are discussion based, and there are set books that everyone reads. Everyone takes Math, Science, Music, Greek, French, and a seminar with a set reading list which you can look up online. That explains why Dex is so smart. :-)
But yes, it's a very accurate review. Some people will really feel happy after seeing it, while others will feel quite cynical. Hope you all have a nice day today :-)
