Okay, I know this is a bit of hubris for me, but I'm just wondering of that viewing sucked (or was far too long) of Masters of the Universe... nadda peep... *crickets*

ha ha!
now you know what it's like!
i used to have "hubris" and "self-esteem" and a "full head of hair."
then i realized my reviews get a "kyle's review of ____" thread started maybe once every seven months.
and then i cried.

Me too. I guess the Big Three just aren't loved.
By the way, the MOTU article was hilarity. But even *I* can't believe you wrote that much about it.

Well I loved every word of all four parts.
"Cheeseburger Happy Meal. Do not fail me!" Too funny.

The whole kit and kaboodle came to 23 pages in Word. I think why it became such a monster is that I wrote it in very short spurts -- watch a scene or two, and write abou them in length. If I had done it in one or two gos, I think the whole time limitation would've kept me in mind to be a bit... more brief. But it's just a load of fun to really examine a film in that much depth, as long as it isn't boring to read, I'm happy. And c'mon.. you wrote HOW much for V for Vendetta? Did you get an advance from Publisher's Clearing House for the novel version? We likee Pooly. But not as much as Drew likee pickles.

I sent Justin an email, but I'd just like to weigh in and say how much internal injury the hilarity of this article caused me. It's entirely possible that my diaphragm has ruptured and I have minutes to live.

And you spend them posting here?
I liked the viewing, BTW, though I had to take a lot of breaks to get through it.

Well, if it were my last minutes on earth, I'd be doing something else--probably something obscenely biological in a very public setting. I want to leave something scorched in the memories of as many people as possible.

Nonsense. I fully intend that my last moments be spent discussing something less than twelve other people on earth are interested in. MOTU no doubt qualifies.

Man, this movie is getting a bad rap. "All sixteen kids?" The entire male population of my first-grade class saw Master of the Universe within a week of it's release, and it was the talk of the playground ever after. I bought a Gwildor action figure! My cousin and I got to meet He-Man and She-Ra at the movie theater. It was like meeting a well-oiled god. Even My father was impressed. Mostly with She-Ra, but still, this was Big News. Viva Eternia! Viva He-Man! Viva Cyborg!

Although on behalf of all NJ natives, I'd like to extend our hearty thanks- the more people perpetuate the myth, the more we get to keep the magnificence all to ourselves, and out-of-staters where they belong: out of state. Cheers! -D

Have you seen Cyborg? It was bad. And not bad in a fun and entertaining, delightfully cheesy way, like MOTU was. Just... Plain... Bad. And you hear this from someone who has watched a great many Jean Claude Van Damme movies, from the better known like Bloodsport and Universal Soldier to the forgotten Quest and Street Fighter.
IMO, it would not have been as good as a He-man movie as MOTU was.
