Okay, so I'm channeling Kyle on this one, but I figured that I might as well trust my fellow MRFH forum members with this decision. And it's not a poll, either. Okay, maybe it is. Whatever. At my high school, we always have Spirit Week on the week of the homecoming game. Each day is dedicated to something such as dressing in camoflauge, wearing a stupid hat, wearing the school colors, and of COURSE gender-bender. Well, for the past two years they have made gender-bender and retro on the same day. So I have to make a decision. Should I dress as Boy George or Ziggy Stardust? I figure that I can combine retro and gender-bender with either of those costumes, plus I just may guarantee a yearbook appearance. I'm trusting you guys. In a few weeks we have Spirit Week, and I'm going on what the MRFH forum has decided for me. Actually, I'm scared now...

I'd go with Boy George. Just for the fact that I'd imagine he/she/it would be a bit more recognizable than Ziggy. Ask me who's music I prefer, however, and I'm all about da Bowie.
Strange but true fact: Right now I'm running Friday Night '80's at the radio station. And talkin' about Boy George over the internet. Coincidence? I think not...

I'm gonna say it depends on your body type. Lean and mean, go Ziggy. (Have you SEEN the concert film?) Otherwise, Boy George is the look for you.
The Ziggy costume would be harder to put together, but awesome. Boy George is more clichéd, but easy to do in a pinch. Unless you go for that crazy face-paint look he's got now.

Doesn't Boy George have a crazy top hat? That would definitely make dressing as Boy George an even bigger blast.
I appreciate top hats in music. I'm surprised more rock stars don't wear them (there are probably others, but the ones that come immediately to mind are Boy George, Slash from Guns N Roses, and to a much lesser extent, Rob Zombie)

Heh! Look at this! A page dedicated to Ziggy costuming, makeup and hair. www.5years.com/costume.htmMy vote is now firmly for Ziggy. Not only is it friggin' sweet, but no one else will be doing it! A quote pulled from the same costuming page: "The Ziggy Stardust cut is the only cool mullet that there's ever been." — Barney Hoskyns

Gah! I love you people for actually responding to this!
Thanks jenfrazer for the link. I seriously have a pair of boots like those red ones, only mine are black. And less shiny.

Adam Ant. Seriously, if you're gonna do it, go for the dandy highwayman himself. Then you can bust out some karaoke for "Stand and Deliver" and "Try This For Sighs." And hey, I've even got my Blue Monday avatar almost ready for use- the timing's perfect. -D

Meh. Got my hair cut today (not in a mullet, mother wouldn't allow it EVER) and I think I'm now limited to Ziggy. But if anyone else has feedback, PLEASE post something!

I'd preferably go with Ziggy... Boy George might attract some unwanted attention...ahem...at least with Ziggy you have a camp but Flash Gorden kinda Space Man dude.
And, hello everyone. I'm not quite dead.
