A 1-UP mushroom to the girls for coming up with a fun, interesting article debating the merits of DC vs Marvel, which is something I'm surprised we haven't done before. Good job!
A POISON mushroom to Justin, for copying a previous Crossfire and retaining the "Whither Romance?" caption at the top of the page. Tee hee, sir!

I was a little worried, myself. I know we have a number of readers whose comic knowledge is encyclopedic, which mine certainly isn't (can't speak for Nancy), so it was going to be hard to please everyone. And we didn't even have time to get into the villains. ("DOOOOOM!!!")
It's kind of funny that the retro Crossfire political cartoon graphic has a guy deloping, though. (Hamilton/Burr?) Not exactly Crossfire, but the historic reference is cool.

It's interesting that you guys are doing this "Superhero Week" (two weeks?) theme. I just finished a facinating book on the start of the comic book industry and how many of America's favorite superheroes came into being, and I enjoyed reading Nancy and Shalen's debate.
Incidentally, I'm a DC girl. Superman's been my favorite superhero for as long as I can remember, and frankly I like men with long hair and big chests. Whoever redesigned Aquaman deserves a Pulitzer (especially compared to the somewhat skinny guy in orange and green I remember from "Superfriends"). I'll side with you girls on Green Arrow, though. Boring. When I want guys in green with bows and arrows, I'll read "Robin Hood."
There's a few I like at Marvel. I've always had a thing about the Incredible Hulk (the big chest thing again), and just that picture of Wolverine on the page turned me into a pile of goo. (That long hair/big chest thing again - he's the only X-Man...person...I have any interest in.) Most of Marvel's never really impressed me. I didn't get into the "Spider Man" cartoons or the movie. Too many neurotics and geeks over there.
