Well played, Liss. The article was both intelligent and amusing... I may not have understood all of it, but I'd love to meet that blond-haired chap, sounds like a really forward-thinking guy. Anyway, the important thing is I liked looking at all the cool Star Wars pictures, although one question still nagged at me after finishing: Joss Whedon had a show on about spaceships?
...really?
.......No, seriously?

I would also like to offer kudos from this way on the article. Loved reading it. And loved those pictures of the ships' respective captains.

Mmmmm. . .is that sacred cow I smell? Make mine medium well.
All joking aside, an outstanding article. Very well balanced, and presented in such a way that someone who is a fan of Star Wars (me), and completely ambivalent about Firefly (also me) can read it and not really be all that bothered by the slight Firefly skew.
On that same note--and I'm basing this solely on not having heard any horror stories about Firefly fans--I'd wager that hard-core Star Wars devotees are more apt to get all excessively bunged up over anything even vaguely disparaging of their unassailable franchise, and as such, it shows integrity that you didn't pander.
However. . .
I must take slight issue with you passing Chewie over for the first mate award. Can Zoe only be killed by having an entire moon dropped on her? No, seriously, I'm asking because I wouldn't know.
Anyway, I'm thinking I may have to stop speaking to you for that. You know, just for a couple of minutes or so. And it isn't like we really spoke before, but now the lack of speaking will be much more tense and palpable.
Be sure to keep an eye on those steaks so they don't char.

Good article!
Perhaps Lando should've been in there as pilot as well?

I loved this article. Just seeing the title on the main page made me grin. I love both so much, and I agree with you on most points. Except for the fact that Obi Wan could SO kick Book from here to next Thursday. C'mon. No force in the 'verse could stop him. Oh, and I agree about the first point about the pilots.

I'd have to go Obi Wan over Book as well. But good call on River and Leia.
Great article!
Now the question is: Who's scarier, Sith or Blue Sun?
And Jabba would definitely win out over Badger in a contest of sheer ickiness.

Thanks guys. I had a great deal of fun writing this article. Drew: please stop rubbing salt in the wound that Firefly was cancelled. Stupid Fox execs. Hucklebubba: You know, I never even knew they'd killed Chewie until I found a Wiki entry while I was looking for pictures for this article. I stuck with the films- and really, just the first three (Episodes 4-6), because they were the ones where the Falcon showed up. But Zoe's not dead yet, and Chewie is.... Want mushrooms with your steaks? Justin: I didn't even think about Lando. How sad is that? Sarah and Star: I picked Book because of the last episode. That spot where River's walking through Serenity and hearing everyone's thoughts, and that angry, nasty "I don't care whether you're innocent or not, so where does that leave us?" from Book just scared me. I don't have Book figured out, whereas Obi-Wan, I do. I could feel completely comfortable with Obi-Wan that he wouldn't turn around and light saber me. I wouldn't feel that way with Book. Sith vs. Blue Sun: If we're talking the original Trilogy, Sith, because Darth Vadar is the Best. Villian. Ever. But that wierd pen thing the Blue Sun guys had scares the living daylights out of me too, because there's no way to fight it. TOTALLY agree about Jabba vs. Badger, though. It's not even a contest.

OK, but what about Jabba vs. Niska? (I have no idea if I spelled that right.)

Drew: please stop rubbing salt in the wound that Firefly was cancelled. Stupid Fox execs. I'll say only this: if Fox decided to bring back one -- and only one -- cancelled show, I'd rather it be Wonderfalls. Or Greg the Bunny. Or The Tick. -D

OK, but what about Jabba vs. Niska? (I have no idea if I spelled that right.) Well they're both pretty ruthless, but -me personally- I'd say Jabba for having more flare. You know, dancing girls, a band, interior design with your debtors, etc.
