Wow. I watch niether of these shows. Please don't shoot me... I have wanted to watch them both, but have gotten the impression that they both require having jumped aboard on season 1 episode 1 in order to gain full appreciation. I intend to appreciate them both on dvd. That being said- I still really enjoyed this article! I know enough about both shows from lurking online or hearing my friends and family discuss them incessantly that this didn't really spoil anything for me. I'm really amazed at how many parallels there are between both shows, too- the actors in question even look alike! Now when I do watch them on dvd I have something else to think about.
In any event- I really liked the article- good job, Lissa!

I take it you didn't care much for season 3 of Lost, Lissa. I really enjoyed the article, so yay, Lissa! I'm sitting quite comfortably in the Lost camp; I tried watching Heroes, but it didn't do anything for me.

Lissa, my wife read this and said, "Wow. This is good. This is REALLY good. She's spot-on about everything!"
Since I know my opinion doesn't matter, there's hers.

Good article, the only problem I had with it was the "Claire" fight, and I'll give you one simple reason why I think you're wrong. You set this up to be a "Battle Royale" where the people would actually fight against each other. Claire Bennet can regenerate from a NUCLEAR BLAST. Claire Littleton can't. I think the win goes to Heroes.

Thanks, guys. It was a fun article to write, and I, too, was alarmed at some of the similarities. You know, that might be why I put the disclaimer in the very beginning that I wasn't counting super powers. Otherwise, would anyone on Lost have won??? (Well, maybe Sayid, because Mohinder, hon, there's this little thing called Fed Ex.... (Or at least don't take the only two vials of blood to meet with Sylar. Sheesh.))

I also really enjoyed the feature. I think Sayid gets the automatic win for his matchup because
Spoiler for season 3 finale
he breaks someone's neck with his feet while he's handcuffed! How can he not be made of awesome?
